- 2.Invention disclosures: Descriptions of inventions, technical documents, draft patent claims, and related materials that you input into the Service. This is the most sensitive category of data we handle and we treat it accordingly.
- 3.Usage data: Information about how you interact with the platform — features used, pages visited, session duration, and similar technical logs. This is collected automatically.
- 4.Billing information: Payment details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
- 5.Communications: If you contact us by email or through in-app support, we retain those communications.
3. How We Use Your Information
- 1.Service delivery: To operate the platform, authenticate your account, process your invention disclosures through AI systems, and return outputs to you.
- 2.Product improvement: To analyse aggregated and anonymised usage patterns in order to improve platform performance and develop new features. We do not use your individual invention disclosures for this purpose without your explicit consent.
- 3.Communications: To send you service-related notices (such as billing confirmations and policy updates) and, where you have opted in, product updates or newsletters.
- 4.Security and compliance: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access, and to comply with our legal obligations.
4. Third-Party Services — Who Sees Your Data
We rely on the following third-party providers to operate the Service. By using Patenti.AI, you acknowledge that your data is shared with these parties under their respective terms:
Supabase
Provides our authentication infrastructure and database hosting. Your account information and invention disclosures are stored in Supabase-managed databases. Supabase operates under its own security and compliance certifications.
Anthropic ⚠️
Provides the AI models that power our patent drafting features. When you submit an invention disclosure for AI processing, that content is transmitted to Anthropic's API. Anthropic processes this data to generate outputs and operates under its own usage policies, which include restrictions on using API-submitted data for model training. We encourage you to review Anthropic's privacy policy.
DigitalOcean
Provides our cloud hosting and infrastructure. Your data resides on DigitalOcean servers and is subject to DigitalOcean's security practices.
We do not sell your personal data or invention disclosures to any third party. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
5. Data Retention
- 1.Account data (name, email, organisation): Retained for the duration of your account. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymise your account data within a reasonable period, subject to any legal retention obligations.
- 2.Invention disclosures: Retained for the duration of your active subscription. If your subscription ends or you request deletion, disclosures will be deleted within a reasonable period.
- 3.Usage and log data: Typically retained for up to 12 months for security and diagnostic purposes, then deleted or anonymised.
- 4.Communications: Retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the matter they relate to.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

- 2.Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
